MOA / MIL Conversion Card — pocket reference
Both conversions and what they are worth on the ground, on a card that fits a pocket and survives lamination. Two pages: the ratio on one side, subtension at range on the other.
How to use it
- Print both pages at 100%, back to back, and trim to 148 × 105 mm. Nothing on the card is a measured dimension, so a print scaled to fit costs you nothing but a smaller card.
- Front converts a turret: MOA × 0.2909 gives MIL, MIL × 3.438 gives MOA. The ratio is fixed — it does not depend on range, load or rifle.
- Back turns the angle into millimetres, which is what you actually measure on paper. 1 MIL is a clean 100 mm at 100 m; 1 MOA is 29.1 mm, not 30.
- The "1 MOA = 1 inch at 100 yards" rule on the back is 4.7% out and the card says so. One MOA is 1.047 in at 100 yd — fine for a hold, not for dialling a match.
